The strategic goals of MSGNA are as follows:

 

· MSGNA will provide educational programs that meet the practice needs of its membership.

 

· Since SGNA, the parent organization of MSGNA, is the recognized leader in Gastroenterology nursing, the MSGNA will follow its lead by promoting SGNA’s Endoscopy procedure practice standards and role delineations as they pertain to GI and Endoscopy nursing.

 

· MSGNA will support the use of evidence based research in gastroenterology nursing practice.

 

· MSGNA will actively seek to increase membership in the organization.

 

· MSGNA will promote and encourage certification of members by the American Board of Certification for Gastroenterology Nurses (ABCGN).
